Northern Lure Bash 2022

Since we haven’t had one for a few years I thought it was about time we had another lure meet up. The idea being to have a laugh, try and catch a few fish but also try and help others catch a few fish. So if you are struggling with anything, want to learn something new, watch a few demos then read on for all the info you need.

Location of the Northern Lure Bash Is now confirmed. As it’s short notice we are going back to one of our previous venues. Thwaite Watermill in Leeds is the meeting point. We will have access to canal section from here right down to Woodlesford Lock and since here in Yorkshire it will be brown trout season we will also have access to the river. The canal has pike to 20lb plus and perch to 3lb with chub showing up in places. The river is not much a numbers trout venue but could throw up a ridiculous fish eating lump!

I would recommend bringing a light lure set up and travelling light. Worth while bringing a pike set if that’s your thing but with so many other anglers about it won’t be a numbers day for you. If you want to bring the big lures for some help and advice that’s fine.

Parking is on the P at Thwaite watermill and this is where we will start the day. You are free to do your own thing, watch a demo or two or tag along with other more experienced anglers. Leave the egos behind, bring your fun helpful faces and if you want to learn anything just ask!

Sunday 24th April 2022

Day tickets are £5 unless you already have the Leeds & District ASA yearbook.
